Trump Threatens to Leave UN WHO After Investigation

by Alex Newman - Wednesday, 20 May 2020

Following a White House investigation of the disgraced United Nations World Health Organization, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to keep American funding frozen or even withdraw from the global outfit altogether. Blasting the UN agency’s lies and its proven track-record of parroting Communist Chinese propaganda amid the coronavirus pandemic, Trump called for urgent and immediate reforms. If the WHO refuses to act, Trump said the U.S. government — by far the largest financier of the scandal-plagued organization — would withhold taxpayer funds and even reconsider membership. Now, critics of the lawless agency say it is time for Congress to act, too.

Beginning with a statement of facts in his letter, Trump noted that he ordered U.S. contributions to the WHO suspended on April 14 pending an investigation by the administration of the UN agency’s “failed response to the COVID-19 outbreak.” The review, he continued, confirmed many of the serious concerns raised last month. It also identified new concerns that should have been addressed, “especially the World Health Organization’s alarming lack of independence from the People’s Republic of China,” Trump warned. The WHO ignored credible reports of the virus spreading in Wuhan, failed to investigate information that conflicted with Beijing’s lies, and then it spread Communist Chinese misinformation while risking countless lives, the president said.

Among the most serious concerns cited by Trump in the letter to WHO boss Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who is not a medical doctor but helped lead a mass-murdering ethno-Marxist terrorist group, is the fact that the UN outfit has been lying. “The World Health Organization has repeatedly made claims about the coronavirus that were either grossly inaccurate or misleading,” Trump said, putting it diplomatically. He gave multiple examples, including the WHO’s January 14 claim echoing Beijing that the virus could not be transmitted between human beings. Of course, the WHO knew better.

By no later than December 30, 2019, the World Health Organization office in Beijing knew that there was a ‘major public health’ concern in Wuhan,” Trump said, adding that Taiwan also told the WHO about the human-to-human transmission. “Between December 26 and December 30, China’s media highlighted evidence of a new virus emerging from Wuhan, based on patient data sent to multiple Chinese genomics companies. Additionally, during this period, Dr. Zhang Jixian, a doctor from Hubei Provincial Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, told China’s health authorities that a new coronavirus was causing a novel disease that was, at the time, afflicting approximately 180 patients.”

Under WHO’s “International Health Regulations,” governments are supposed to report the risk of a health emergency within 24 hours. But Communist Chinese authorities failed to do that until December 31, days or even weeks after it had learned about the mushrooming crisis. When whistleblowers such as Dr. Zhang Yongzhen with the Shanghai Public Health Clinic Center tried to get the word out, the regime shut down his lab. WHO, meanwhile, remains “conspicuously silent both with respect to the closure of Dr. Zhang’s lab and his assertion that he had notified Chinese authorities of his breakthrough six days earlier.”

Trump also accused the WHO of bowing to pressure from mass-murdering Communist Chinese dictator Xi Jinping. On January 21, for instance, Xi told Tedros not to declare the coronavirus outbreak an emergency. “You gave in to this pressure the next day and told the world that the coronavirus did not pose a Public Health Emergency of International Concern,” Trump told the controversial WHO boss, adding that it was not until the evidence was too overwhelming to hide that Tedros reversed course and admitted that the situation was serious.

The U.S. president slammed Tedros for praising the Chinese regime for “transparency,” too. Meanwhile, in the real world, the dictatorship was lying and frantically silencing whistleblowers and doctors who were attempting to warn the world about the unfolding calamity. Finally, Trump slammed Tedros for criticizing his decision to restrict air travel from China, even as the disgraced UN leader was praising the Xi regime for its own domestic restrictions. “Your political gamesmanship on this issue was deadly, as other governments, relying on your comments, delayed imposing life-saving restrictions on travel to and from China,” explained the president.

In his conclusion, Trump lays down an ultimatum. “It is clear the repeated missteps by you and your organization in responding to the pandemic have been extremely costly for the world,” he said. “The only way forward for the World Health Organization is if it can actually demonstrate independence from China. My Administration has already started discussions with you on how to reform the organization. But action is needed quickly. We do not have time to waste. That is why it is my duty, as President of the United States, to inform you that, if the World Health Organization does not commit to major substantive improvements within the next 30 days, I will make my temporary freeze of United States funding to the World Health Organization permanent and reconsider our membership in the organization.”

Echoing his “America First” campaign theme, Trump noted that it was his responsibility to protect U.S. taxpayers and American interests. “I cannot allow American taxpayer dollars to continue to finance an organization that, in its present state, is so clearly not serving America’s interests,” the president said, being diplomatic but clear. In fact, not only is the WHO not serving U.S. interests, it is actively undermining them by squandering American money while allowing brutal and murderous dictatorships to amplify their power and reach.

Even establishment-minded analysts have come to the conclusion that it is time for the United States to ditch the WHO. In an op-ed published by the far-left Newsweek, former Bush administration operative John Yoo warned that the Communist Chinese Party had so thoroughly corrupted the WHO that it was time to leave. In the piece, headlined “The World Health Organization Is not Salvageable,” Yoo blasted the agency for pursuing “politics over public health” by helping Beijing spread disinformation. He also pointed to the WHO’s refusal to admit Taiwan — also known as the Republic of China, or free China — into the disgraced global body. “American decision-makers should respond by either pushing China out of any serious role at the WHO or constructing a new agency to take its place,” Yoo said.

The WHO has a long track record of brazen dishonesty. Last year, for instance, The New American reported that the agency was advocating forced vaccines and training medical professionals to lie to parents about them in an effort to squash vaccine “hesitancy.” Among other whoppers, the WHO instructs doctors to tell parents that vaccines cannot cause harmful side effects or even death, that they cannot cause the infection they are supposed to prevent, and that inoculations provide better immunity to disease than contracting it and building a natural immune response. All of those lies are easily debunked. Yet the WHO still has its dishonest training program online in an effort to deceive humanity. Read Full Article

Exploiting COVID19, Big Tech Censors Become Big Brother
by Alex Newman - Thursday, 14 May 2020

Citing concerns about “misinformation” surrounding the coronavirus, major social-media platforms and technology companies including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Google, and more are cracking down on free speech like never before. Facebook even created a panel to censor the social-media site that is dominated by foreigners who reject free speech and the U.S. Constitution’s First Amendment.

In the case of YouTube, the Big Tech giant literally said it will remove any content that goes against recommendations made by a corrupt United Nations agency that has been serving as a propaganda megaphone for Communist China. Top UN officials have also stepped up calls for Orwellian online censorship.

In short, the Silicon Valley elites and their Deep State allies want to do your thinking for you and determine what information you get to see — and what information to hide from you. They claim to believe you are too stupid to sort truth from fiction without their help. Seriously.

But the backlash to the censorship is growing stronger every day, potentially threatening the virtual monopolists’ stranglehold on the Internet and the flow of information. Already, cracks in their grip are starting to show, as Americans — especially conservatives — overwhelmingly recognize the bias in favor of establishment propaganda.

Perhaps nowhere was the frantic effort to silence dissident voices more obvious than in the campaign to disappear the “Plandemic” interview with Dr. Judy Mikovits. Claiming the video contained “misinformation,” both YouTube and Facebook went wild trying to stop it, constantly removing it as a violation of their terms of service.

The effort to delete all traces of the video and information from YouTube came shortly after the CEO of the video-streaming service dropped a bombshell on the far-left CNN, widely ridiculed by the president and millions of Americans as among the fakest of fake news outlets. “We also talk about removing information that is problematic,” said YouTube boss Susan Wojcicki on “Reliable Sources.”

“Anything that is medically unsubstantiated, so people saying, like, ‘Take Vitamin C … take turmeric, those cure you,’ those are examples of things that would be a violation of our policy,” she added. “Um, anything that would go against World Health Organization recommendations would be a violation of our policy.”

Ironically, it is the WHO, blasted as “China-centric” by President Trump, that has been actively and knowingly peddling “misinformation” to the world. Most recently, of course, WHO boss Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, an actual Marxist revolutionary ridiculed as an attack poodle for Beijing, was caught parroting Communist Chinese Party propaganda as if it were true, including the claim that there was no human-to-human transmission.

One of the most outrageous examples of WHO disinformation was Tedros and WHO lashing out at countries such as the United States for imposing travel restrictions on travelers from China. Among other concerns, the former Marxist right-hand man of Ethiopia’s murderous dictatorship claimed Trump’s measures would increase “fear and stigma, with little public health benefit.”

These incredible trends were recently satirized by the Babylon Bee, which ran an absolutely hillarious satire piece headlined “YouTube Removing All Videos That Don’t Begin With The Chinese National Anthem.” The article went viral, making a mockery of YouTube’s Orwellian censorship regime.

Wojcicki's announcement that information contradicting WHO would be removed came shortly after President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. government would cut funding to the disgraced UN agency over its dangerous “recommendations” and regurgitation of Beijing’s propaganda. Incredibly, the WHO and its top leaders have repeatedly praised the mass-murdering dictatorship’s response to coronavirus.

As The New American magazine documented last year, however, spreading deadly lies and propaganda is nothing new for the WHO. Indeed, in its war on “vaccine hesitancy,” which the agency claimed was one of the top threats to global health, the WHO developed a blatant disinformation campaign targeting medical professionals.

The training program featured sample questions that parents skeptical of vaccines might ask, along with suggested answers for the medical professionals to provide in response. One question was: “Can vaccines cause harmful side effects, illness and even death?” The WHO answer: “No, vaccines are very safe.”

Of course, this is demonstrably false, and every vaccine maker in the world acknowledges that vaccines can and do cause harmful side effects, illness, and even death. The U.S. government has paid out billions of dollars to victims of vaccines and their families after Big Pharma successfully lobbied Congress to be exempted from liability, a protection that no other commericial industry enjoys.

Another sample question asked by hesitant parents reads: “Can vaccines cause the infection they are supposed to prevent?” The WHO instructs the health worker to lie to parents. “Inactivated vaccines do not have live germs and cannot cause infections,” the response claimed. And yet, right after telling parents vaccines cannot cause the infections, the WHO admits that vaccines “rarely” cause the infections to occur.

Yet another question listed that may be asked by hesitant parents: “Is protection from natural infection more effective protection?” The response: “With vaccines, the immune system is stimulated to develop protection without infection, hence it is more effective.” Obviously, that is not true, as whatever immunity vaccines may provide often wears off, requiring “booster” shots.

The examples above represent just a small sample of the dishonesty and the demonstrable lies included in the WHO propaganda workshop for health workers. Other strategies it proposed to wage war on skepticism of vaccines included bringing religious leaders on board, using the “mass media” for propaganda, “mandating vaccinations,” “sanctions for non-vaccination,” “non-financial incentives,” and more.

Under YouTube’s policy of removing information that contradicts WHO propaganda, any and every doctor in the world who pointed out that vaccines can and do cause side-effects would be subject to being censored and having their video removed. Ironically, because the same WHO training program admits the fact that vaccines can cause death and other dangerous side-effects later on, even the WHO could have its content removed for contradicting its own claims.

Another senior YouTube official, Chief Product Officer Neil Mohan, added fuel to the fire, insulting the content creators that have made billions of dollars in profits for the company. During an interview with Protocol Editor David Pierce, Mohan admitted that the video platform was boosting “authoritative voices,” “as opposed to, you know, it’s somebody espousing their opinions about a mask, you know, in their basement.”

“This is coming from an authoritative channel, a news source, a medical professional, and if that’s the case, we think there’s going to be some context that’s provided around the question of masks,” Mohan continued when asked how the company was doing its “moderating” in light of the ever-changing views of “authorities” and “experts” on these issues. “And even if that guidance changes, it will be reflected in sort of how an authoritative voice or channel talks about it.”

As for views and voices that the tyrants of Big Tech disagree with, algorithms are used in “removing or reducing views of the videos where that same level of authority hasn’t been established.” The New American magazine's video content has experienced this, with drastic “shadow banning” making it extremely difficult to find TNA’s videos online. A number of TNA videos, including one featuring a leading scientist with four degrees from MIT including a PhD in biological engineering, were removed altogether, essentially being flushed down the 1984 “memory hole” with no real explanation.

Ironically, the “authoritative” voices — most of them closely allied with the Deep State — have been wrong from the start. Consider, for instance, the ludicrous models funded by billionaire Bill Gates from Imperial College in London and the Institute for Health Metrics Evaluation at the University of Washington. Both predicted millions of COVID-19 deaths. And in both cases, the silly claims have been walked back.

Those debunked models were used to set policy, though, and those who criticized them were and still are subject to extreme censorship from the Big Tech companies. But the models were wrong by orders of magnitude. And one of the “experts” behind the U.K. models, Professor Neil Ferguson, was caught violating the lockdown orders he demanded as essential for everyone else, so that he could have sex with a married woman. Coronavirus Opens Eyes to Home Schooling
by Alex Newman - Monday, 4 May 2020

Even before the coronavirus shutdown, the Smith parents were concerned about their young teenage son’s experience at the local public school. In fact, the child begged not to go back. From bullying and indoctrination that led to depression, to godlessness and false propaganda passed off as “education,” to handcuffed teachers who must obey the system amid the chaos, the family was already very worried.

Then the governor of the state shut down the schools in March due to coronavirus. The school had provided Google “Chromebooks” and Google accounts to the students with lessons, resources, and assignments to work on at home. What Samantha Smith saw, though, convinced her that the time had come to remove her son from government education and do something different.

“It was all so confusing, just a bunch of mish-mash stuff that was impossible to navigate or understand,” said the mother, whose real identity is being protected to avoid harming her relationship with school district officials. “Parents are left totally out of the loop, and this is what goes on during normal school days as well.”

The godless nature of the “education” was deeply harmful, too. The mother told The New American that she believed her son developed some depression as a result of the “false teachings” being forced on him by the school. Indeed, the child was even reprimanded and disciplined for speaking the truth, which was interpreted as defiance, she said. And her son saw that there was no biblical integration into anything, even though he knows full well that one cannot separate God’s design from education or anything else.

And so, the Smith family took the plunge and decided to homeschool and enroll their son, 14, into the FreedomProject Academy, an online K-12 school (see page 21) that is firmly grounded in biblical principles. While the Smiths will still rely on local government schools for some extracurricular activities, the child’s education will now be a combination of homeschooling and FPA. “We know this is the best option,” the mother concluded.

In the span of a few weeks, the population of homeschooling families in America exploded by some 2,000 percent or more. Thanks to panic surrounding the Chinese virus, the number of home-educated children went from just a few million to almost the entire school-age population of the United States and even the globe. Of course, many of those children are still relying on government for lessons and activities — something that must not be confused with genuine home education — but many other families have been left entirely on their own. In any case, interest in home education has never been greater.

Advocates of homeschooling began rejoicing, practically in unison, at the prospect of dramatic growth in the movement. More than a few commentators suggested that, with enough effort by home-education advocates, there is a very real chance that millions of students may never return to the public-school system after the dust settles. It would be unprecedented, but not impossible — especially as millions of parents discover for the first time what their children are being exposed to in government schools.

Not everyone is pleased at the surging interest in home education, though. The Deep State’s propaganda organs, far-left governors, the United Nations, the education establishment, and the sexual revolutionaries obsessed with sexualizing children have all been less than enthusiastic at the thought of countless millions becoming homeschoolers almost overnight. Some globalist groups such as UNESCO and the OECD are even trying to hijack the moment. Whether they will succeed remains to be seen.

Surging Interest

From the torrent of news articles across America and the globe about homeschooling, it is clear that the subject has never been this hot — not by a long shot. And while some of the media reports were hostile, many were fair, if not outright supportive, of the national move toward home education. A Wall Street Journal piece by editor and homeschool father Matthew Hennessey, for example, argued that an increase in homeschooling numbers would be a “silver lining in a very dark cloud.” Fox News ran multiple reports on the subject, too.

As government schools were shutting down in state after state, homeschoolers across America who spoke with The New American magazine confirmed that there has been unprecedented interest in the practice in recent weeks. Friends and family members whose children have been in public or traditional schools all their lives suddenly find themselves thinking seriously about home education for the first time — at least for now, if not for the long haul. As they try it, many will love it. And homeschool families everywhere are mobilizing to help ease the transition as millions consider joining the movement.

The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), the largest and most powerful group advocating for home education in the world, has also confirmed expanded interest in homeschooling among the public. In response to the schools shutting down and the growing attention, the group even released a “quick start” guide outlining seven steps for parents to begin homeschooling their children. It has been extremely popular so far.

“I fully expect that there are going to be a lot of people who are going to point back to the coronavirus pandemic as the time when they started homeschooling and they started their homeschooling journey,” HSLDA attorney and director for global outreach Mike Donnelly was quoted as saying by Breitbart News. “We don’t know what this pandemic is going to look like. But it may end up changing people’s behavior, and as people have the opportunity to figure out education with their children, in a homeschooling context, some people, I think, are going to say, ‘You know this isn’t so bad; in fact, this is kind of good and I think we’re going to keep doing this.’”

Countless organizations, including FreedomProject Academy and the Ron Paul Homeschool Curriculum, have responded to the soaring interest by making some of their resources available for free to those families suddenly homeschooling out of necessity. And the website CoronavirusHomeschooling.com, sponsored by the Texas Home School Coalition, has even made available an entire homeschool curriculum for students of all ages, along with countless other resources to help families in need. “You don’t need a PhD. Just be a parent and you’ll be fine,” the site assures parents. “We’ll send you daily lesson plans with video instructions to help you through. We’ll tell you exactly what to do each day. You’ve got this!”

Actress and nationally syndicated radio host Sam Sorbo, author of They’re Your Kids: An Inspirational Journey From Self-Doubter to Home School Advocate, is among the celebrities promoting the service. She is optimistic that many of the families being forced to homeschool amid the coronavirus panic will realize it is far better for their children than government schools. In a radio interview on her show featuring this writer, and again during a Heritage Foundation panel discussion entitled “We’re All Homeschoolers Now: Navigating the Coronavirus Challenge to K-12 Education,” the highly influential Sorbo sounded thrilled at the prospect.

“I’m optimistic that families will discover the joys of home education,” she said about this time period, adding that parents were likely to become suspicious of government schools as those institutions hesitate to make their materials and curriculum available to families online. “My whole message to parents is, ‘You don’t feel capable of educating your children at home because you’ve been taught that you’re incapable.’ In fact, that seems to be an overarching message of our education bureaucracy — to make you aware of how inadequate you are, to make you uncertain of how well you can do.” Now is the perfect time to try, she said.

To help bring that about and encourage parents, Sorbo joined forces with The Old Schoolhouse magazine and other leaders in the movement to host a webinar for families that find themselves in “accidental homeschooling.” According to the publisher of the magazine, new homeschoolers from all over the world — even from nations where it is illegal — are signing up for their programs every day. Sorbo, who along with her husband homeschooled her own children, also launched a YouTube program called The Accidental Home Schooler aimed at those who are just getting started with home education.

Sorbo is also urging all newly established homeschool families to take advantage of the free resources at CoronavirusHomeschooling.com. “We mobilized our entire team and have worked around-the-clock to produce excellent daily lesson plans beginning with grades K through 5,” she told The New American magazine, celebrating the empowerment of parents to “take the reins” of their children’s education in the months ahead. “Using our website, every parent has immediate access to this free resource, as well as support from our team of education professionals. We are rolling out new resources every week, for children of all ages, so that parents have the vibrant, comprehensive, necessary resources to teach at home.”

Government-education Critics

In an exclusive interview with The New American, former Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas said parents should view the current pandemic as the “greatest opportunity of their lives” to take control over what their children are learning. Douglas originally ran for the top education post in her state, hoping to reform the system and bring back traditional education, including phonics and real history. By the end of her four-year term, though, she realized reform was futile, and that the only hope was for parents to remove their children from the system in huge numbers, she explained.

“This is part of a 100-year or 150-year battle for the souls of our children,” continued Douglas, warning that collectivists and anti-Christian forces were using government schools to dumb down and indoctrinate America’s children. “John Dewey [founding father of America’s so-called progressive public-school system] was very clear, his intent was to change our society and make sure our children were un- or under-educated.... Understand the battle we’re fighting. I wish I had had the courage to homeschool my daughter, but I was chicken at the time.”

Aside from choosing homeschooling or a good private school, when asked what Americans could do in this battle, Douglas urged everyone to get a copy of The New American magazine’s Special Report “Rescuing Our Children.” Originally published in February of 2019, the expanded second edition was just released. “They can get the Reader’s Digest version and understand what we are facing, and how far it goes back,” said Douglas. NeverTrumper Lies About Birch Society & Schlafly in “Daily Beast”
by Alex Newman - Thursday, 23 April 2020

In a dishonest hit piece masquerading as journalism published by the far-left Daily Beast, a former Communist Party USA operative turned NeverTrump neoconservative Buckleyite tries to defame both conservative legend Phyllis Schlafly and the grassroots John Birch Society. But with major factual errors and outright deception starting literally in the very first sentence, the fringe fake-news outlet and neocon Ron Radosh — who writes for a publication with a well-documented history of promoting segregation, racism, and violence against blacks — fails miserably.

The main thrust of the article, which falsely claims to reveal something “new,” is that Phyllis Schlafly and her husband were members of The John Birch Society, an affiliate of this magazine and perhaps the most successful grassroots conservative organization in history. “The John Birch Society is doing wonderful work, and my husband and I both joined promptly after the Chicago meeting,” Schlafly wrote in a letter. That is hardly news, though, and has been widely reported for many years by news outlets and political organizations. The Southern Poverty Law Center reported on the exact same documents in 2016.

First of all, this was already well known by anyone who cared to read. Schlafly denied it, likely for political reasons, during the Goldwater campaign for president. Radosh concluded that she may have denied it to avoid hurting the Goldwater campaign amid the concerted communist and establishment campaign to demonize JBS — a campaign very similar to what was unleashed against Trump during the 2016 election, lies and smears that still make some Trump supporters hesitate before admitting publicly they support the president. But it was hardly a secret, Radosh’s false claims notwithstanding.

Secondly, so what? There is nothing wrong with belonging to a patriotic organization dedicated to — with God’s help — upholding the Constitution, protecting individual liberty, exposing the Deep State, and reducing the size of government. Numerous governors, congressmen, senators, sheriffs, lawmakers, mayors, activist leaders, state supreme court justices, Ivy League professors, judges, media personalities, top military leaders, billionaires, and more serve and have served as members of the organization over its 62 years leading the fight for faith, family, and freedom.

The very first sentence of the Daily Beast hit piece contains a giant falsehood, and some smaller ones. “Phyllis Schlafly was a secret member of the John Birch Society, the far-right group infamous for its support of segregation and its belief that a communist conspiracy had taken over the United States,” wrote Radosh. Of course, in the real world, not only did the JBS never support segregation, many of its leading members and leaders — including top black activists such as George Schuyler, Manning Johnson, Julia Brown, and others — helped lead the fight against racism, racial collectivism, government-enforced segregation, discrimination, and so on.

Especially ironic is that Radosh’s main claim to fame is being a writer for the increasingly irrelevant neoconservative magazine National Review, which actually did openly support segregation for many years. Indeed, in a 1957 National Review piece headlined “Why the South Must Prevail,” founder William F. Buckley argued that whites, as the “more advanced race,” had a right and duty to prevent blacks from voting and achieving equality — even using violence if needed. This was supposedly in order to preserve “civilization” from what Buckley and National Review referred to as “Negro backwardness.” Seriously.

Of course, the Birch Society, which had many prominent black and white members at the time who were working against segregation in their states, never would have imagined saying something so grotesque. Instead, Robert Welch, the founder of JBS, wrote a widely disseminated article dubbed “A Letter to the South” in which he argued that segregation was on its way out, that this demise was a good thing, and that the communist exploitation of the “civil rights” cause had set back this progress by a generation.

Naturally, Welch admitted to being “impatient at times” with the rate of progress toward ending segregation. But he said he was glad that “the winds” were “blowing in the right direction” toward less segregation. He was actually frustrated that communist racialist agitators were impeding that progress by stirring up racial hatred among the races in the South and pushing anti-constitutional solutions, which he argued was retarding progress toward full equality. But his views were clear: Segregation was wrong and should be dismantled as quickly as circumstances would permit.

In the 1963 bulletin of JBS, which was sent to all members of the recently formed Society, Welch boasted that the piece against segregation, then being distributed by members and supporters across the country, was already in its sixth printing. In short, Welch was extremely “progressive” on racial issues for the day — far more than the Democrat Party, which was sending members of the KKK to Congress, or National Review, which encouraged whites in the South to stomp on black efforts to achieve equality. Would an organization that supposedly supported segregation publish and distribute a powerful article arguing against segregation? You decide.

Add to that the fact that racism and segregation were bipartisan and mainstream in much of the United States at that time. Liberals and conservatives, especially in the South but even in the North, were often hostile to “race mixing.” JBS founder Robert Welch, a Southerner who grew up in a segregated world where that was the norm, was well ahead of his time. In his famous “Letter to the South” mentioned above, Welch openly promoted and supported an end to segregation knowing full well how controversial that would be in the region and among leading political figures in the South who would be crucial to the Society’s mission of exposing evildoers and reducing government. He did not exclude people based on support for segregation — that would have meant excluding virtually all of the South from his national movement — but he was openly hostile to segregation, and worked very hard to ensure that racists did not sneak in to the Society.

Buckley, by contrast, kept beating the drum for segregation and white supremacy for many years after his 1957 screed. In 1963, for instance, he lamented a bombing of a black church that killed four children not because innocent young ones were killed, but because it “set back the cause of the white people there so dramatically.” In 1965, he warned that there would be “chaos” if blacks were allowed to vote. And in 1969, long after his attacks on JBS began, Buckley wrote a column, “On Negro Inferiority,” in which he celebrated pseudo-scientific findings claiming blacks were inferior. This is the magazine Radosh writes for regularly — and the magazine that declared war on The John Birch Society as well as Donald Trump, and failed miserably. Read Full Article

Amid COVID-19, Deep State Moves in for the Kill Against Churches
by Alex Newman - Friday, 17 April 2020

With churches across much of America being shutdown by government decree as “non-essential,” they are facing enormous and potentially existential threats. On one hand, churches are being terrorized by state and local governments, with pastors and congregations literally being fined or even arrested for simply attending a service. Then, when the churches try to stream online, Deep State-run Big Tech firms are censoring them or even shutting them down. At the same time, many churches across America are lining up to receive government bailout money — cash that comes with dangerous strings attached, including LGBT mandates. This represents a profound threat to religious liberty and the continued independence of the church in America. It could be a perfect storm.

Even on Resurrection Sunday, perhaps the most important date on the Christian calendar, state and local governments came down hard on churches. Before that, at churches in Mississippi, congregants were given $500 fines for attending — even though they remained in their cars for the entire service. Meanwhile, drive-thru restaurants in the area remained open for business. In Kentucky, far-left Governor Andy Beshear ordered police to go take down church attendees' license plate numbers. In Virginia, Pastor Kevin Wilson of Lighthouse Fellowship Church was charged with violating executive decrees by the governor purporting to shut down churches, and may face up to a year in jail. Prominent Florida pastor Rev. Rodney Howard-Browne, arguing that church is essential, was arrested for holding services. Similar abuses have been perpetrated by the murderous dictatorship enslaving Communist China.

The notion that churches are not “essential,” and that government gets to arbitrarily decide that abortion mills and marijuana shops are essential while churches are not, is beyond outrageous. And yet, it has happened across much of the nation, with very little resistance so far. Non-profit legal firm Liberty Counsel is working on these sorts of cases and has found some success. But across the nation, radical governors, and mayors have exploited coronavirus hysteria to act like dictators, imagining that they get to tell churches when, how — and even if — they are allowed to meet. Historically, churches have always been essential, especially during tough times when people need help. But today, many pastors have meekly accepted the dictatorial usurpation of power by government with barely a whimper.

Countless pastors have been satisfied with simply moving their services online. But once again, the Deep State is finding ways to shut them down, too. Consider the case of Christ Church in Moscow, Idaho. Last week, Google, owned by the same company that owns Youtube, removed the church's app from its “Google Play” store because the pastor allegedly did not show enough sensitivity. “We don’t allow apps that lack reasonable sensitivity towards or capitalize on a natural disaster, atrocity, conflict, death, or other tragic event,” the notice received by the church explained. “Your app has been suspended and removed due to this policy issue.” Facebook, too, regularly censors and discriminates against Christians. Even those that do not get directly attacked are likely to self-censor to avoid getting banned.

Perhaps even more alarming is the showering of government money on churches — naturally, with strings attached. The New American reached out to the “Office of Diversity Inclusion and Civil Rights” at the Small Business Administration to find out whether churches taking bailout money would be forced to hire homosexuals as part of the “non-discrimination” requirements. At first, the person on the phone said yes. However, after that initial response, the phone operator said the SBA was expecting a formal answer from the legal department no later than today or tomorrow. The New American will post an update if and when there is more information. In the meantime, numerous establishment-minded Christian bigwigs are helping churches sign up for government money.

Revered Thomas Littleton, a Southern Baptist from Alabama, warned about the trap the churches are walking right into. “This never before and unthinkable move will spell the end of church as we know it in America as churches now become debtors and grant recipients of the government through the Small Business Administration,” he warned on his popular blog Thirty Pieces of Silver, calling on churches to trust in the Lord rather than government. While religious liberty and the freedom of churches in America have historically been protected from government interference by the Constitution, that “constitutional refuge is about to evaporate and everything turned on it’s head as the church and ministries become funded by the federal government stimulus.”

The true church will never fail, Reverend Littleton explained, citing promises from God contained in the Bible. However, many individual churches and ministries have gone and will continue to go “apostate,” he warned. “As loan / grant / bailout recipients, churches will be under Small Business Administration obligations for the 10-year life span of the loan, or forever if the loan is converted to a grant and not repaid,” said Littleton, who has long warned about an “Evangelical Deep State” that is leading many American churches astray. “Also churches who take the funding now will likely not hesitate to do so again in the case of another economic crisis. These bad decisions have long term consequences.”

Among other issues, Littleton noted that as pastors put their signatures on those SBA forms, they agree to comply with all of the federal government's “non-discrimination and inclusion” mandates. This in an era where the Supreme Court has purported to redefine marriage, and where lawmakers are chomping at the bit to criminalize even religious organizations that refuse to bow before the LGBT juggernaut. “Church leaders will not bite the hand that feeds them,” Littleton said, adding that churches taking government money will never be the same. “Going forward, any pastor who takes Covid-19 Stimulus funding will be far less likely to speak up to this or any future administration.” Littleton blasted people like Russell Moore with the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission for encouraging and helping churches to take the government funding.

A coalition of Republican U.S. senators is already calling on the Trump administration to take action ensuring that churches do not have to choose between adhering to their religious beliefs and taking bailouts. “As we repeatedly brought to your attention, without these assurances, many of our nation’s most impactful faith-based entities would have been unable to participate in the [Paycheck Protection Program] due to undue restrictions on their sincerely held religious beliefs, thereby forcing them to choose between abandoning their faith mission or closing their doors to both employees and the communities they serve,” they wrote in a letter to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and SBA boss Jovita Carranza urging the administration not to “discriminate” against faith-based entities. Harvard Law Plots Attack on Homeschooling, Parental Rights
by Alex Newman - Thursday, 27 March 2020

Extremists at Harvard Law School are planning a summit about the allegedly “controversial practice” of homeschooling, sparking alarm and ridicule among home-education experts and advocates. The controversial gathering comes amid escalating attacks on educational freedom, many of them funded by tax money.

The goal of the Harvard event is simple: Advance the ongoing war on parental rights and educational liberty. Unsurprisingly, the summit at the overpriced and increasingly radical university is inviting only anti-homeschooling-freedom activists, while excluding proponents and even neutral experts familiar with the mountains of data supporting the benefits of home education.

One of the organizers of the event is Harvard Law Professor Elizabeth Bartholet, the founder of the “Child Advocacy Program.” In her recent article in the Arizona Law Review headlined “Homeschooling: Parent Rights Absolutism vs. Child Rights to Education & Protection,” the totalitarian anti-family extremist promotes “a presumptive ban on homeschooling, with the burden on parents to demonstrate justification for permission to homeschool.”

Another chief organizer of the confab is Law Professor James Dwyer of William and Mary College, a fringe activist who believes government gives parents authority over their children. “The reason that parent-child relationship exists is because the state confers legal parenthood on people through its paternity and maternity laws,” he claimed, apparently seriously. In an article “debunking” parental rights, he even argues that there are no parental rights, just permission from government to perform certain “parental duties.”

Some of the other leading luminaries behind the scheme come from the so-called “Coalition for Responsible Home Education.” Despite the innocent-sounding name, this fringe organization, widely ridiculed and ostracized among actual homeschoolers, literally exists to promote increased regulation and government attacks against families that choose homeschooling. The summit, first exposed publicly by the non-profit Home School Legal Defense Association, also plans to attack HSLDA.

Decades of data on home education have painted a clear picture: Not only is homeschooling superior, it is better for children by orders of magnitude on every front. According to the National Home Education Research Institute, home-educated students typically score 15 to 30 percentile points above public-school victims on standardized academic achievement tests. Homeschoolers are also better socialized, research shows.

The event, titled “Homeschooling Summit: Problems, Politics, and Prospects for Reform,” will take place on June 18 and 19 this year at Harvard, assuming coronavirus hysteria does not cancel it. And while it would be easy to dismiss the gathering as a bunch of kooks in a clown car, the reality is that these fringe activists have powerful backers and access to policymakers. At least one of the sponsoring organizations is funded by Goldman Sachs.

Despite its growing reputation for extremism and unhinged hard-left politics, Harvard alumni continue to dominate the levers of power in the United States. Consider that most of the justices on the U.S. Supreme Court went to Harvard, with the rest going to Yale. The totalitarianism emanating from these once-great institutions, originally founded to train ministers of the Gospel before being hijacked, is a growing threat to liberty in America.

Homeschoolers, beware: The education establishment and its allies in the Ivory Tower are only just getting started with their attacks on you and your family. Because home-educated children on average do massively better than victims of government schools on every measurable metric, the war on home education and private schools will accelerate in the years ahead. The home-education community must be prepared to resist and strike back. Read Full Article

Looking for a Private School? Choose Wisely!
by Alex Newman - Thursday, 12 March 2020

From the print edition of The New American:

There are many good private schools throughout the country, including religious ones. But parents beware: Many are not what they are advertised to be.

Walking through the Christian Heritage Academy (CHA) in Del City, Oklahoma, one gets the sense of being almost on another planet, or at least in another dimension. The children are well-dressed, smiling, and respectful. They seem genuinely happy. Their manners are impeccable. The quality of their scholarship, too, would put many college students to shame. Their knowledge of American history and the Bible, even in the lower grades, far surpasses that of the average American adult. And remarkably, the school did it all without a single penny of government money.

“We have a totally different approach to education,” explained Headmaster Josh Bullard, who graduated from CHA in 1979, before leading a tour of the school and introducing us to the teachers and other staff who oversee the education of nearly 700 students. “Our vision is to train American Christian leaders for every sphere of society.” And they do a great job, too, with their students not only performing far above average academically but also acquiring a Christian education and learning how to think critically — and biblically. From CHA, they go off into politics, law, ministry, business, and more.

At another, similar school in Chesapeake, Virginia, known as the Stonebridge School, kindergarten students were learning how to sound out letters with phonics — something that has been largely cast aside in government schools, even though Common Core-style methods of memorizing sight words were debunked as quackery as far back as the mid-1800s. In the fourth-grade classroom, many of the children’s cursive handwriting looked as if it had been produced by a calligrapher — it was absolutely beautiful. And the art was just amazing. Everything about this school was surreal.

On a tour around the school with Head of School Kathy Rader, it was clear that — like CHA — something was very special about this place. Even though teachers and faculty do not spend all year preparing the students for standardized tests, their average SAT scores are far above the national average, as well. Just as at the Christian Heritage Academy, the goal is to provide a solid Christian education and prepare leaders to impact America and the world for God.

While the schools are 1,500 miles away from each other, they share something in common. Both rely on the “Principle Approach,” a philosophy and method of education that “produces Christian character and self-government, Christian scholarship and Biblical reasoning.” Both schools take scripture seriously. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty,” says 2 Corinthians 3:17, one of many biblical references to liberty and godliness going hand in hand that can be found at the schools. The Principle Approach, which is not affiliated with any particular Christian denomination, is now being used in hundreds of Christian schools from America to Brazil and Uganda and beyond.

Dr. Carole Adams, president of the Foundation for American Christian Education (FACE), is one of the nation’s top authorities on the Principle Approach. Stonebridge is actually a demonstration school for it. And CHA, while not affiliated with FACE, relies on the Principle Approach as well. Dr. Adams told The New American that a truly Christian education will include four components: worldview, curriculum, philosophy, and results. “To be considered Biblical, Christian education, all of these components must be in conformity to the Word of God,” she said, adding that biblical truths (or principles) are the foundation of every subject.

It works. Students who attend Principle Approach schools hold to a much more biblical worldview than any other category of students, even including Christian homeschoolers. Nehemiah Institute President Dan Smithwick, who has been studying people’s worldviews for many years, confirmed this with hard data. His “PEERS” test asks questions about “Politics, Economics, Education, Religion, and Social Issues” (PEERS) and then determines how well those line up with the institute’s understanding of what Scripture teaches. It has become very popular with churches and homeschool groups. But Smithwick, who has served on boards of Christian schools, found that even many self-proclaimed Christian schools are falling short of fulfilling their promises.

“Biblical worldview education is what is promised by all private Christian schools today,” Smithwick told The New American. “However, our worldview assessment program, PEERS Testing, tells a different story. We are increasingly seeing the influence of secular/socialist philosophy being embraced by youth even from Christian homes. Cultural Marxism has made deep inroads into education, even Christian education, which is evidenced by results of the PEERS test.... Most Christian schools have unknowingly adopted philosophy and methodologies of education developed by scholars in Secular Humanist institutions.”

However, the exceptions to the trend are the Christian schools affiliated with the Principle Approach, he said. “I urge Christian families and church leaders to investigate the meaning of true biblical worldview education and see the difference from traditional education,” Smithwick continued, adding that he believes proper Christian education is crucial to continuing the biblical promise of a remnant being preserved by God.

Many Christian schools bill themselves as nondenominational, meaning that they teach basic biblical principles that Christians hold in common — what the great Christian apologist C.S. Lewis called “Mere Christianity” — without getting into doctrinal differences. Others are definitely denominational. Not all private schools are alike, and it is up to the parents to decide the best educational alternative for their children.

For those who want to enroll their children in a Catholic school, there are still many available that provide a rock-solid academic experience combined with thorough religious training in the Catholic faith. For instance, networks of traditional Catholic schools across America affiliated with the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) and the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) offer excellent education to thousands of families.

There are also phenomenal Jewish schools that provide an outstanding academic education infused with the faith and values of Judaism. One of the nation’s first was Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which continues to provide a top-notch education to hundreds of students from the area. “For learning to be truly meaningful, it cannot be limited to a certain set of subjects, given at a particular time, or place,” Dean Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld told The New American in describing the school’s proven philosophy. “Rather, the process of education must address the whole child as he or she develops and matures at home, in school, and in the community.”

Yeshiva Schools accomplishes that by “taking education far beyond the classroom, while keeping it within the context of Jewish tradition,” Rabbi Rosenfeld continued. “For example, we provide opportunities for students to apply what they’ve learned in the real world. They work with children with special needs, visit seniors in residential centers, and get involved with projects to improve our neighborhood and the environment. In this way, Yeshiva Schools educates students to be knowledgeable, responsible, and productive members of society.”

Today, there are many other options for private educational choices, too. Across America, for instance, parents are forming cooperative “schools” where families get together and parents contribute their time and expertise. A father who specializes in computer programming might teach a programming course, while a Hispanic mother might teach Spanish. In addition, there is a resurgence in the one-room schoolhouse movement, with Aletheia Christian College in Jerome, Idaho, training people from across the country to open and run small schools that can give children of all ages an excellent Christian education.

The options described in this article can be the models for a future where government no longer indoctrinates most Americans in so-called public schools. And even parents who cannot afford tuition have options, with many schools offering scholarships.

While the argument that some people are too poor to send their children to a private school is often cited as justification for the government’s practical monopoly, a school in Oklahoma City — the Little Light Christian School — is proving that generous Americans can and do help those in need find a way. The school serves the most at-risk children in the community, namely the children of imprisoned parents, by offering them a tuition-free private Christian education. A tour of the school would be enough to bring tears to one’s eyes.

About 30 years ago, Robin Khoury was praying. God gave her a vision, she recounted to The New American during a tour, that one day she would have a school for poor children. During that time, she was homeschooling her own children, and had no way of knowing what would eventually come. It would be almost two decades before her school became a reality. But it did.

“I was listening to speakers, and someone started talking about the problems that children with incarcerated mothers have,” she says. “Anxiety, depression, post-traumatic-stress-disorder, and behavior problems. And then I heard God whisper, ‘These are the kids for your school. These are the kids I’ve been talking about.’” The next day, she filed incorporation papers for Little Light Ministries. And within three years, the school would be open. Today, it serves dozens of children, and amazing things are happening there.

Regardless of one’s faith tradition, there are great options out there for anyone and everyone. In addition to brick-and-mortar schools, there are also online schools such as FreedomProject Academy, which offers a classical education rooted in Judeo-Christian values. And there is homeschooling, a viable option favored by millions.

Buyer Beware

It would almost be hard to do worse than the government schools, which have been quite literally designed to dumb down and indoctrinate children. But while there are many incredible private, independent, and religious schools out there, there are also plenty of dangers and pitfalls that parents should be aware of when it comes to choosing the right educational program for their children.

It’s an alarming sign of the times when caveat emptor has become the watchword even for America’s Christian schools. In considering Christian schools before the creation of the Federal Department of Education (1979), there may have existed disparities between the quality of academic programs, or the degree to which faith and worldview were successfully integrated with a child’s course of study. But one thing that remained reliable was the commitment of Christian schools to be conscientiously Christian, accounting for denominational differences. The same was true for Jewish schools.

Those days are gone, and, incredibly, many “Protestant” and “Catholic” and “Jewish” schools are now committed to aligning academic and social programs to public-school models. The argument is that religious-school children need to “keep up” with public-school peers, take the same dehumanizing standardized tests, and ultimately pursue the same forms of materialistic and worldly success.

And while families will still find a greater emphasis on discipline and safer learning environments in most Christian schools, they will find very little in terms of faith-building and biblical values. As costly as Christian schooling has become, administrators are wagering that faithful parents will pay exorbitant tuition for schooling that is in many respects Christian-in-name-only. Apparently, a well-placed cross here, a white blouse and plaid skirt there, are more sufficient markers of Christian authenticity than what happens in classrooms or is written in textbooks.

And this secularizing of Christian education is happening across denominations: Most Catholic diocesan schools, for instance, use Common Core-aligned materials, as do most Protestant schools, from “high church” to “low church” schools. Alarmingly, many Christian schools have adopted the secular and politicized social-justice curricula that is currently transforming public schools into sites of ideological indoctrination. The well-known Charlotte Christian School in North Carolina, for instance, recently came under fire for introducing the “Be The Bridge” curriculum promoting “Critical Race Theory,” a far-left racist ideology completely antithetical to Christianity.

The depraved and age-inappropriate sexuality education that is sweeping public schools is also turning up in Christian schools. And things such as transgenderism, homosexuality, and drag-queen culture are embraced under the guise of dubious “anti-bullying” programs that subordinate scripture to progressive posturing. Many administrators and teachers are embarrassed by biblical morality when it comes to issues such as sexual activity outside of marriage, abortion, and gender confusion, and quietly go about remaking — unmaking in reality — Christian morality and presenting the results to unsuspecting school children as if they were gospel.

One key factor in this move toward apologizing for Christianity — rather than teaching Christian apologetics — is the way teachers are accredited. Overwhelmingly, degrees from university departments of education — which are entirely secular, anti-Christian, and thoroughly progressive — are the primary method through which students become teachers. It doesn’t matter how well-meaning or faith-driven a student may be, once entering these programs, survival often depends on compromising one’s worldview, in ways that the young teacher may not even recognize. When teachers and administrators join Christian schools after being trained in godless, government-funded colleges of education, they bring that baggage with them. Read Full Article

Public Schools Failing Illinois Children Academically
by Alex Newman - Friday, 21 February 2020

As if the sexualization and radical politics were not enough cause for alarm, the latest data shows public schools are failing Illinois children academically, too — and big time! Indeed, the vast majority of high-school graduates are unprepared for basic college work.

According to a recent report by Chicago Public Media, almost two thirds of the new students enrolled in Chicago-area community colleges placed below college level on their placement exams. That means they must complete remedial education to proceed, even under the watered-down “college” standards that exist today.

Furthermore, even though the colleges only offer two-year degrees, just one in ten of those students in remedial classes — euphemistically dubbed “developmental education” — end up graduating within three years. By contrast, the figure is about one third among students not in remedial education.

One developmental English professor at a community college in Chicago, Tara Whitehair, was quoted revealing that many students lack even a “basic foundation” in “literacy.” Comparing that to the “foundation for a house,” Whitehair said it “takes time” to bring students up to that level.

In previous generations, graduating from 2nd or 3rd grade without strong literacy skills would have been unthinkable. Today, however, according to the government’s own literacy data, many high-school graduates would struggle to read their own diploma.

Other professors interviewed for the story confirmed the extent of the disaster. “When I ask them to go to a [reading] and say, ‘What is this text saying? Put this into your own words’ … they can’t,” Wright College English Professor Carrie Mocarski said. “They can’t comprehend the writing. … Generally we’re not talking about academic journals, we’re talking about newspaper articles.”

The reporter confirmed the dismal situation. “Students also haven’t learned to write academic essays,” reported Kate MgGee in an in-depth piece about “Starting College Behind.” “Many don’t know how to craft a thesis statement or cite research. They struggle with sentence structure, topic sentences, vocabulary and grammar.”

If these were 3rd graders, or even perhaps 5th graders, it might be understandable that they struggle with sentence structure, grammar, or vocabulary. Yet it completely boggles the mind to contemplate how anybody could graduate from junior high — much less high school — without being able to write a thesis statement or cite research.

The problems begin early, though. According to 2019 results from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), known as “America’s Report Card,” less than one third of American 8th-grade students are proficient in any core subject. That includes math and English. In 4th grade, NAEP data show well over a third of children are “below basic,” which means they cannot read at all. Read Full Article

Sex Ed Mandated in Kindergarten Under Kentucky Bill
by Alex Newman - Thursday, 13 February 2020

Legislation in Kentucky would mandate the sexualization of children with “comprehensive sex education” starting in Kindergarten, sparking outrage across the state and beyond. The measure demands gender bending and LGBTQ propaganda, too.

The bill, HB 296, would order every single school district in one of America's more conservative states to begin indoctrinating children into progressive views on sexuality starting next year. The sexualization would be ubiquitous, beginning in Kindergarten and continuing until the 12the grade.

Naturally, advocates of sexualizing young children used all the mandatory buzzwords — “age appropriate, inclusive, and medically accurate” — to try to make the sexualization of 5-year olds seem less grotesque. Most of the media parroted those terms as well.

“The bill is as much about social, emotional and mental health education as it is about sex ed, and would focus on healthy relationships, consent, critical thinking, responsible decision-making and acceptance of differences,” explained State Representative Lisa Willner, a far-left Democrat from Louisville.

In other words, radicalized government schools would not only sexualize children, but also manipulate their emotions and their thought processes. The scheme also has as a chief goal the normalization of homosexuality, gender confusion, and all manner of sexual perversion.

“We need to teach children early on, in medically accurate and age appropriate ways, about healthy relationships, consent about matters of their own bodies and healthy decision making about all relationships,” added Willner, without explaining why Kindergarten children need to know about sex.

Then she parroted standard Planned Parenthood propaganda. “With Kentucky among the worst states for unintended adolescent pregnancies, teen dating violence and teen sexual assault, and with bullying a growing concern, the need for this bill is clear,” said Willner, one of a dozen Democrat sponsors of the measure.

In reality, Willner is either lying or has been deceived. The only reason Kentucky has more teen births is because it has far less abortions, as even pro-abortion extremists admit. According to a report by the pro-abortion group Guttmacher Institute, the state had among the lowest abortion rates in the entire country.

But while parents and taxpayers in Kentucky expressed serious concerns about the bill, some advocates of sexualizing children have started claiming that even Kindergarten is too late. Instead, the freakish sex-ed indoctrination must begin before the children can even talk.

“Human beings are sexual beings from the time they are born,” claimed Dan Rice, executive director of “Answer,” a tax-funded outfit at Rutgers University that peddles perversion to young people.

The idea that people are “sexual” from birth is a disgusting lie that comes from “sexologist” Alfred Kinsey. This infamous sex fiend was responsible for the rape and sexual torture of thousands of children, some as young as 5-months old, and the explosion of sex ed.

Basically, under the guise of “science,” Kinsey trained pedophiles to rape and molest children. When the children screamed, fought, and passed out, he claimed it was an “orgasm.” Then he used this fraudulent “data” to promote sex-ed for children at the youngest possible ages, claiming they are “sexual” from “birth.”

Dr. Judith Reisman, perhaps the world's top expert on Kinsey, says it is time for a proper criminal investigation of all this. Congress has introduced legislation on this before, but so far it has not been signed into law — at least not yet. Read Full Article

Trump Nominates Gold Advocate to Federal Reserve
by Alex Newman - Friday, 7 February 2020

President Donald Trump has formally nominated Judy Shelton, a liberty-minded advocate of sound money, to one of the open spots on the Federal Reserve Board. It is possible she is being considered as Fed chief, sources say. The news sparked celebrations among free market-oriented economists and patriots, who spoke of adding some intellectual diversity to the board. But her nomination has also stoked concerns among establishment figures from the media to Congress. Trump has repeatedly expressed support for an honest monetary system, but this may be his most significant move aimed at actually bringing about some degree of monetary reform. Now the battle heads to the U.S. Senate.

Known as a fierce critic of the Fed and its quasi-“central planning” schemes, Shelton has argued for a gold-backed currency as well as for more competition with private currencies. Perhaps even more unusual, the longtime Republican even questioned whether a central bank is needed, and has called for an end to federal deposit insurance. She has also exposed the fact that the Federal Reserve System has “rigged” the economy “in favor of Wall Street and the wealthiest 1 percent.” In an essay last year, Shelton, who served as an economic advisor to the president’s 2016 campaign, explained how important a sound monetary system is to Trump’s overall agenda for restoring the nation. “We make America great again by making America’s money great again,” Shelton wrote.

Echoing Trump’s 2016 campaign comments about the Fed's dangerous manipulation of interest rates, Shelton gave an explosive interview to the Financial Times that revealed an in-depth understanding of the threat. “How can a dozen, slightly less than a dozen, people meeting eight times a year, decide what the cost of capital should be versus some kind of organically, market supply determined rate?” she asked. “The Fed is not omniscient. They don’t know what the right rate should be. How could anyone? If the success of capitalism depends on someone being smart enough to know what the rate should be on everything?...?we’re doomed. We might as well resurrect Gosplan.” Gosplan was the committee that centrally planned the failed Soviet economy.

Shelton also appears to understand the Fed’s role in causing regular economic crises, and the manipulation of official inflation and GDP figures. In a Wall Street Journal piece headlined “The Case for Monetary Regime Change,” Shelton directly blamed the Fed for the “devastating 2008 global meltdown” that sparked economic turmoil worldwide. In particular, she pointed the finger at the Fed’s “influence over the creation of money and credit.” To deal with perpetual inflation caused by the Fed's never-ending expansion of the monetary supply, meanwhile, Shelton has called for “linking the supply of money and credit to gold.” That would severely limit the Fed’s ability to quietly steal the savings of everyone holding U.S. dollars.

On interest rates, her views have been described as “more complicated.” During the near-zero interest rates implemented under Obama, Shelton was highly critical. Writing in the defunct neocon journal known as the Weekly Standard in 2013, Shelton slammed the ultralow interest rates supposedly designed to “stimulate” the economy back to prosperity. “The Federal Reserve is not your friend,” Shelton argued. “Loose monetary policy is bad for you and for your economic prospects.” Shelton has also repeatedly slammed so-called “Quantitative Easing,” which is basically a term designed to conceal the fact that the central bank is creating debt-backed currency out of thin air and then using it to buy U.S. Treasury bonds that taxpayers will have to repay with taxes.

However, more recently, she has expressed criticism of the Fed’s moves to keep raising rates, saying the central bank is basically subsidizing mega-banks while holding back economic growth. Shelton has also criticized the Fed paying interest to banks for sitting on “excess reserves.” President Trump, meanwhile, has been pushing for rate cuts that he believes would “stimulate” the economy — something that could help boost his reelection prospects. Fed boss Jerome Powell, though, whom Trump put in place early on in his term, has been less than cooperative, leading to widespread speculation that the president may seek to put Shelton in Powell’s current job.

At this point, banking lobbyists, Democrats, and potentially even some so-called Republicans In Name Only (RINOs) in the U.S. Senate are scrambling to figure out how they may be able to derail the nomination. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) blasted Shelton as “radical,” while former Obama Treasury bigwig Larry Summers slammed Trump’s nominee as “dangerous.” Lobbyists for the banking cartel that literally owns the Fed are also busy expressing their concerns.

For Republicans, though, undermining Shelton may be tough to do without infuriating their constituents, with GOP voters overwhelmingly supportive of President Trump. “There are a lot of questions about her,” Senator Richard Shelby of Alabama, who serves on the Senate Banking Committee that must approve candidates for the Fed board, told the anti-Trump Washington Post. “I have a few, but I’m not the only one.... I have an interest in having solid, mainstream people on the Fed.” Some other Republicans on the Banking Committee have already publicly expressed their support for Shelton's nomination.

However, for Trump-supporting conservatives, there are also some red flags surrounding Shelton. For instance, Shelton has in the past been an advocate of “open borders” with Mexico. She also chaired the National Endowment for Democracy, a key Deep State-controlled institution that has been involved in all sorts of lawless intrigue. And she helped bankroll Senator Lamar Alexander, a globalist who helped further federalize education while lying about it toward the end of Obama’s term. In 2012, she supported Republican candidate Mitt Romney financially in the presidential election.

Writing for the Ludwig von Mises Institute, a pro-sound money think-tank associated with the Austrian school of economics, Institute Vice President Joseph Salerno sounded positive about the nomination, but with some reservations. The good news, he said, was that Shelton supports the gold standard and has not been indoctrinated into believing the modern economics establishment’s “prevailing orthodoxy.” She also has a lot of experience working for prominent free market think tanks, including the Hoover Institute and the Atlas Network.

“The bad news is that she leans heavily toward supply-side economics, which is deeply flawed on monetary policy,” argued Salerno, professor emeritus of economics at Pace University and editor of the Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics. “Like most supply-siders, the position she advocates may be summed up in the motto, ‘I favor sound money — and plenty of it.’”

On the gold standard, Salerno pointed out that Shelton appears to favor a return to some version of the failed Bretton Woods system that collapsed in the late 1960s and was formally ended by President Nixon in 1971, rather than the genuine gold standard that prevailed before that in which actual gold was in circulation and bills were redeemable by anyone. “The historical Bretton Woods system had inherent flaws that led to its slow-motion inflationary collapse,” Salerno said. “This did not stop supply-siders, including Shelton, in her 1994 book Monetary Meltdown, from penning proposals for an updated version of Bretton Woods.”

But overall, Salerno, widely respected among liberty-minded free market economists, said he considered Shelton to be “among the most politically palatable (at least to Republicans) candidates for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.” But, unfortunately, he added, “this is weak praise, given that the very existence and function of the Fed is a destructive influence on the U.S. and global economy.” Others at the Mises Institute, while noting that she was “no Austrian,” still sounded pleased that she would bring some “much needed ideological diversity to the central bank.”

Whether she can get approved is now the question. According to CNBC, Cowen investment bank analyst Jaret Steinberg argued that there were “enough flash points” to potentially get her blocked. “Shelton would be a perfect fit as she would be a Trump loyalist who won Senate confirmation,” Steinberg was quoted as saying in a note. “We suspect there are enough Republicans who question her views on the gold standard and on excess reserves to put her confirmation in real doubt. To us, the Senate is unlikely to reject her nomination. The most likely outcome is that it just never votes to confirm her.”

The Trump administration, however, fully expects her to be confirmed, according to Chairman Larry Kudlow of the National Economic Council. Speaking to reporters last month, Kudlow added that Shelton would be “a good addition to the board.” Two previous Trump nominees for the Fed board, Stephen Moore and Herman Cain, failed to get the job amid vicious media criticism and establishment pressure about their alleged lack of qualifications to hold the positions. California Educators Defend Gross Porn at School
by Alex Newman - Monday, 27 January 2020

Pornographic and obscene videos included in California's “sex education” curricula for young children feature cartoon people having casual homosexual sex, encouraging children to watch pornography online as “perfectly normal,” bizarre discussions on genitalia size, and other highly controversial material.

When confronted on all this in a public meeting, however, education policymakers in the state defended the content and even claimed it was “age appropriate” for children ranging from 10 to 14. Video of the exchange was obtained by FreedomProject Media and has been posted on Youtube by concerned activists.

The material in question comes from a group called “Advocates for Youth” and its website, Amaze.org, which is backed by the International Planned Parenthood Federation and other extremist groups. Even a cursory review of the site reveals extreme propaganda promoting homosexuality, sexual orientation as a “spectrum” including “pansexuality,” radical gender confusion, fornication, and much more.

“So Amaze.org is a wonderful site with a wide range and variety of content,” said one of the panelists when asked about whether this was appropriate for children. “There are some of those videos that are selective that are age appropriate and compliant with the law that are included in the curricula as well, because they're also involved in the curriculum.”

The speaker, apparently Jeffrey Gould with “Cardea Services,” one of the organizations working with government schools to indoctrinate and sexualize California children, quickly pointed out that not all the videos are mandated in the curriculum. Critics wondered, though, how any of those videos could be said to promote “health,” which was ostensibly the goal.

The shocking comments were made on December 6, 2019, at a conference by the California Association of School Boards. Speaking on the panel were two trustees from the Freemont Unified School District, one of whom was moderating, along with the representative from Cardea Services. The footage came from a CSBA workshop called “Adopting Compliant Sex Education Without Heartache.”

On Amaze.org, Advocates for Youth describes what it is about. “Using its 3Rs Philosophy (Rights, Respect, and Responsibility), Advocates works to shift the societal paradigm of adolescent sexuality away from a negative emphasis on fear and ignorance toward the acceptance of sexual development as healthy,” it said.

In modern sex-ed extremists' parlance, “fear and ignorance” is the pejorative terminology used to describe the biblical view of sexuality as a gift from God that ought to be respected and reserved for marriage. Sexual development being “healthy,” meanwhile, is what the sexual revolutionaries use to conceal the idea that fornication, perverse experimentation, sodomy, and more are good and normal.

The international Planned Parenthood Federation, which is one of the “partners” of the operation to sexualize California's children, is more than a little controversial. In fact, according to testimony in Congress, the organization was helping the mass-murdering Communist Chinese dictatorship enforce its barbaric “one-child policy” using forced abortions and other savagery. It isn't “pro-choice,” it's pro-abortion.

“The whole country is going down a dark path led by California,” said Katie McCarthy with Protect Our Kids Now, one of the groups fighting back in the Golden State. “There are many parents here who are pushing back but the politicians don’t care. They have a super-majority and are at the behest of Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, the Human Rights Campaign and other radical organizations behind this agenda.” Read Full Article

Big Brother Schools Using Big Data to Manipulate and Spy on Kids
by Alex Newman - Wednesday, 22 January 2020

This is part 12 in a series of articles examining the origins of public education in the United States.

Using data primarily gathered through the public-education system, Big Brother and the collectivists running the government schools now know more about American children than their own parents do. The awesome powers offered by “Big Data” will blow your mind.

In fact, authorities have vacuumed up so much private information on America’s youth that, according to a U.S. Department of Education report, it’s now possible to predict the “future behavior and interests” of children. It also allows the government to manipulate their thoughts and attitudes like never before.

The data-gathering has become so intrusive and extreme that some critics have even referred to it as the “data-rape” of American children. And this is just the start.

From biometric data and private health care information to academic records, online browsing habits, and mental-health data, government schools and technocratic policymakers across the United States want it all—from “cradle to career” and beyond, as authorities often put it. Thanks to federal grants, they’re getting it, and sharing it.

Hundreds of data points on each child are now being collected and stored in databases accessible by state and federal authorities. Privacy laws and regulations prohibiting the creation of national databases with student information were ignored and pushed aside beginning during the Obama administration, and even earlier.

Through a byzantine combination of public schools, government agencies, social-media companies, crony contractors, testing companies, non-profit organizations, and more, there’s now more data collected on children than anyone could have imagined even just a few short years ago. Many times, the children do not even realizing they’re giving their private data to Big Brother—forever.

The tip of the iceberg occasionally becomes visible. Right now, for example, there’s an ongoing lawsuit against the non-profit College Board, currently headed by Common Core architect David Coleman, for allegedly collecting and selling private student data to third parties without the consent of the children or their parents. According to the plaintiffs, numerous laws have been broken.

That is all a big deal, of course. And it’s wrong. But it pales in comparison to the dangers of what Big Government and Big Business are doing right now—and what they have planned for the future.

The Common Core national standards imposed on the United States by the Obama administration, covered in the most recent piece in this series, super-charged the government’s data-harvesting and data-mining operations. After that, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), which Obama referred to as a “Christmas miracle,” took it even further.

But it has been going on for quite some time. Consider a 2012 “Issue Brief” titled “Enhancing Teaching and Learning Through Educational Data Mining and Learning Analytics.” In the report, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology dropped a bombshell regarding what all this data was going to be used for: Basically, the feds want to make predictions about your children.

In the report, authorities said that “online learning systems” allow the government to “capture streams of fine-grained learner behaviors.” These systems send to a database the “time-stamped student input and behaviors captured as students work within the system,” the document explained.

Authorities then combine that behavioral data with other external information sources, including sensitive personal data held by the school, the district, or the state, according to the report. Then, the information is put to use making predictions and shaping “interventions.”

“A predictive model combines demographic data (from an external student information system) and learning/behavior data from the student learning database to track a student’s progress and make predictions about his or her future behaviors or performance,” the report explains (emphasis added).

The data being collected can also allow government to peer into the minds of students. “Big data captured from users’ online behaviors enables algorithms to infer the users’ knowledge, intentions, and interests and to create models for predicting future behavior and interest,” the report adds.

Using controversial federally funded “surveys” under the guise of “health,” public schools across the United States have been collecting some of the most intimate data imaginable: political views, religious beliefs, sexual behaviors, sensitive information on parents or the home, private medical information, and much more.

Among the creepiest elements of the data-gathering and data-mining machine is the ability it gives to peer into the innermost thoughts and feelings of students. With access to this data, and the computing power to process it all, government and those connected to it can become nightmarishly powerful—and they will, if nothing is done to stop it, as the people of China are discovering under the “social credit” system.

Consider a 2010 speech to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), also the subject of part 9 in this series, by then-U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan. In it, the Chicago radical celebrated the rapidly expanding data-gathering colossus and the new powers it would unleash.

“More robust data systems and a new generation of assessments can assist teachers and principals to improve their practices and tailor their instruction in ways that were largely unthinkable in the past,” said Duncan, who regularly boasted about using schools to brainwash children with “sustainability” propaganda. “We have advanced data systems that we are constantly improving.”

In the decade since then, those “advanced data systems” have become ever more sophisticated, enabling governments to build unfathomable personal profiles on every public-school student in the United States. Even students in private schools and home schools are now in the cross-hairs of the data-mining machine.

Some of the technological tools that have already been used by the federal government in these areas have sparked grave privacy concerns. In 2013, the U.S. Department of Education released a report titled “Promoting Grit, Tenacity, and Perseverance: Critical Factors for Success in the 21st Century” that became a lightning rod for criticism.

Among other developments, the report included revelations about the sorts of technology being used in some federal programs to gather data on children. One of the tools, for example, was described as a “facial expression camera.” The report said this was used to “detect emotion” and “capture facial expressions,” with the data then processed through software and fed into databases.

Other tools described in the report, which has since been taken off the Education Department’s website, included a “posture analysis seat,” a “pressure mouse,” and a “wireless skin conductance sensor.” All of these existing technologies are used to monitor and collect “physiological response data” that can “examine student frustration.”

“Researchers are exploring how to gather complex affective data and generate meaningful and usable information to feed back to learners, teachers, researchers, and the technology itself,” the report explains, with “affective” data referring to students’ attitudes and feelings, rather than academic or educational abilities. “Connections to neuroscience are also beginning to emerge.”

More recently, a U.S. company called BrainCo developed a headband that measures and collects data on students’ “brainwaves.” BrainCo, which is part funded by Chinese state-owned companies, has already trialed the devices on 10,000 students in China. Back in 2017, the CEO talked of building the “world’s largest database,” which could be analyzed by artificial intelligence to better detect emotions. Some U.S. schools have reportedly tried the devices, too.

In 2017, the federal government funded a project to build a “friendly social robot” to collect highly sensitive psychological data on children. Known as “EMAR,” or Ecological Momentary Assessment Robot, the robot “gathers teen mental health data in a public high school setting,” the National Science Foundation said.

One of the major concerns surrounding all this intrusive data-gathering technology is that it’s being used by government schools and the education establishment to manipulate the thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors of children. As the technology advances, it will allow bureaucrats and technocrats to do much more of this in the future, too.

Under new “Social and Emotional Learning” (SEL) programs, which are currently all the rage in educational circles, authorities set goals for various attitudes and values they want children to hold. By testing for these “affective” characteristics, the technology can help determine whether children hold the government-mandated attitudes. If not, the programs then help to develop “interventions” to get the desired attitude inculcated in the child.

As far back as 2016, Education Week revealed that, under the guise of providing “personalized learning experiences,” new technology was aiming at students’ “individual emotions, cognitive processes, ‘mindsets,’ and character and personality traits.” So-called “non-cognitive competencies” were also targets.

That same year, the U.S. Department of Education released a “National Education Technology Plan” peddling “assessments” that measure “non-cognitive competencies” including “attitudes that facilitate functioning well in school, work, and life.” How the feds would determine the correct “attitudes” for children to have was not specified.

The potential for abuse is self-evidently enormous. What if these tools get into the hands of evil-doers? What if they already are in the hands of evil-doers? Do Americans really want unelected bureaucrats at the far-left U.S. Department of Education—where 99.7 percent of 2016 donations to presidential campaigns went to Hillary Clinton—determining what attitudes and values children will hold on controversial issues such as homosexual marriage, immigration, and abortion?

When one realizes that the public education system was literally created by Utopian collectivists to fundamentally transform society, as this series has documented extensively since the first segment, the dangers are obvious and extraordinary.

Indeed, the architects and current leaders of the government-school machine have long been open about their desire to shift the United States away from a liberty-minded Christian society, and toward collectivism and humanism. With these powerful tools, resistance will become increasingly difficult, if not futile, for children held captive by the system.

Another major concern is that all of this data being gathered by schools is being fused with labor and career data. For years, authorities have been openly working on connecting the various “education” databases packed with information gathered on Americans by schools with that collected by other government organs.

Officials are hoping that this enormous amount of data, all brought together in one place, will help them do what previous attempts at central planning have always failed to do: accurately understand the needs of the economy, and then adjust production, employment, consumption, training, and education accordingly.

Then, imagine combining all of that with emerging developments such as artificial intelligence and super computers with unprecedented capabilities, plus all of the data being gathered on Americans by agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service, the National Security Agency, and more. Big Brother will know everything about everyone, literally from “the cradle,” as the Utopians themselves often say.

It’s a recipe for disaster—or even a catastrophe of unprecedented proportions. Read Full Article

U of I “Climate Emergency” Reveals Dangerous Extremism
by Alex Newman - Thursday, 16 January 2020

After a review of educational materials by dozens of volunteers, the non-profit Florida Citizens Alliance is asking state prosecutors to launch a criminal investigation of the obscene pornography that has invaded the public school system. It is a felony under Florida law to give children access to such material.

Just this week, leaders of the Alliance delivered a letter and report to state policymakers highlighting the grotesque school books being used in government education. In addition to Attorney General Ashley Moody and state prosecutor Nicholas Cox, the organization also handed copies to Governor Ron DeSantis, House and Senate leaders, Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran, and others.

“Florida Law clearly states that distribution of material containing sexually explicit content is prohibited on Florida public school property,” explained the letter, citing three statues (FS 847.012, FS 847.001, FS 1006.3) that make each violation a 3rd degree felony. “Today, these Florida laws are flaunted, or 'Just ignored'.”

As part of the effort, some 35 volunteers across the state reviewed novels and books used in Florida schools. Among other concerns, they found at least 40 that contained pornography and “inappropriate LGBTQ indoctrination” — material that clearly violates the statutes criminalizing pornography and obscene material in schools.

Despite illegal efforts by many schools and districts to prevent parents and volunteers from accessing the explicit content, the volunteers managed to find staggering amounts of filth. Indeed, as documented in a major report handed to officials in Tallahassee this week with the letter, there can be “zero doubt” that these crimes are being committed in every single school district in Florida.

The books in question include graphic scenes of rape, sodomy, transgender sexual activities, images of adult and child genitalia, and plenty of other “smut” described in the report. “If anyone of us walked on a public-school campus to hand out these materials or tried to read these on public television, we would be charged and jailed immediately,” explained FCA managing director Keith Flaugh.

“A thorough investigation and Attorney General Opinion is long overdue,” said Flaugh and fellow FCA managing director Rick Stevens in the letter on behalf of the organization's more than 60,000 active members across Florida. “Our children deserve their innocence and public schools should be directed to remove any such materials immediately.”

In addition to the criminal investigation, Flaugh told The Newman Report that another one of the goals is to “wake parents up and get them paying closer attention to what is going on in public schools.” Right now, most parents have no idea that their children are being illegally exposed to pornographic material so grotesque that it cannot even be described here. He also hopes lawmakers will strengthen existing laws.

“We represent good-hearted people all across Florida who simply want to protect Florida children from blatant and harmful sexual desensitization,” Flaugh explained in an emailed statement before handing the letters to Florida's top officials. “Our children deserve their innocence, free from government schools’ indoctrination.”

Allowing public schools to distribute these sexually explicit and harmful materials interferes with the rights and responsibilities of parents, the grassroots leader said. Because it blatantly violates laws passed by the people of Florida's elected representatives, it also undermines the rule of law. And it sets a “terrible example for all concerned,” he added. U of I “Climate Emergency” Reveals Dangerous Extremism
by Alex Newman - Thursday, 9 January 2020

Giving taxpayers and parents a sense of just what their money is being spent on, the University of Illinois declared a “climate emergency” ahead of the recent United Nations COP25 “climate” summit in Spain. About 200 other universities and organizations around the world made similar declarations by signing on to the letter.

In the so-called “Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Accord,” signed by U of I President Timothy Killeen, signatories recognized the alleged “need” for “a drastic societal shift to combat the growing threat of climate change.” As part of that, the university vowed to ensure that the “young minds shaped” by its professors were “equipped” with the “knowledge” they would need to respond to this supposed “threat.”

To “step up to the challenge,” the university committed to supporting a three-point plan. This includes spending more money on “climate change research” and going “carbon neutral by 2030 or 2050 at the latest.” It also involves stepping up the climate indoctrination, described in the document as “increasing the delivery of environmental and sustainability education across curriculum, campus and community outreach programs.”

“We all need to work together to nurture a habitable planet for future generations and to play our part in building a greener and cleaner future for all,” the letter states. “We call on governments and other education institutions to join us in declaring a Climate Emergency and back this up with actions that will help create a better future for both people and our planet.”

The “SDG Accord,” named after the UN’s highly controversial Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, was signed by radical groups from around the world, including organs of mass-murdering Communist Party dictatorships that jumped on the “climate” bandwagon to extort Western taxpayers. Multiple governments and other organizations have also declared a “climate emergency.”

At the UN COP25, under the guise of stopping the supposed “climate emergency,” policies ranging from drastic population reduction and enforced lower living standards to imposing global taxes and “global governance” were all openly promoted. One prominent professor in Denmark even suggested the UN could use “peacekeeping” troops to enforce its climate mandates.

Ironically, when the European pseudo-Parliament was debating the measure to declare a “climate emergency,” German Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) were extremely uneasy. That is because National Socialist (Nazi) dictator Adolf Hitler also declared an “emergency” (Norstand, in German) to usurp all sorts of totalitarian powers under the guise of dealing with the supposed “emergency.”

Countless scientists, though, have ridiculed the notion of a “climate emergency.” Internationally renowned Princeton University physicist Dr. William Happer, who most recently served as climate advisor to President Donald Trump, warned in Madrid that the alarmist movement was a “bizarre environmental cult” that had manufactured a phony “climate emergency” to unleash its policies.

Speaking of Nazi emergencies, former senior NASA climatologist Dr. Roy Spencer, who now serves as a senior research scientist at the University of Alabama, blasted extremist peddlers of the man-made global-warming hypothesis as “global-warming Nazis.” Among the main reasons he chose the term is that the policies they advocate would kill far more people than Hitler’s National Socialists ever did.

The University of Illinois is no stranger to climate hysteria. In September, hundreds of high-school and college students gathered on campus to protest against alleged man-made “climate” changes, which they believe are caused by the gas they exhale (CO2). Professors are offering a great deal of “support” for their efforts, organizers of the demonstration said.

Speaking to the tax-funded Illinois Public Media talk show known as “The 21st,” students involved in putting together the climate march offered insight into the sort of dangerous and misleading propaganda they are being spoon-fed at their tax-funded university. And it was not pretty.

“I kind of figured out the polar bears aren’t dying because I’m leaving the lights on at night,” said U of I “Students for Environmental Concerns” campus President Abbi Pstrzroch. “They’re dying because climate change is very systematic and it’s deeply rooted in greed and corruption.”

Of course, in the real world, polar bears are not actually dying at all — they are thriving in an incredible way. In fact, according to leading polar bear expert Dr. Susan Crockford, a Ph.D. in zoology at the University of Victoria, polar bear numbers have actually exploded, with populations quadrupling just since the late 1960s when the “global cooling” scare was getting underway. School Children Terrorized About Death from “Climate Change”
by Alex Newman - Monday, 6 January 2020

MADRID — Inmates at government schools in Canada and beyond are being absolutely terrorized with “climate” alarmism, to the point that some of them were convinced that they will die in just 8 years unless the United Nations is given more power and money. Scientists have compared the tactics and hysteria to those used by cults and dictators.

The poor children were absolutely terrified. “We are gonna die! I don't want to die!” screamed one little child during a propaganda session on “climate” forced on 2nd and 3rd graders at a public school in Toronto. A concerned parent who reached out to FreedomProject Media about the scandal, Lejla Blazevik, said her 8-year-old daughter told her the rest of the class had joined in, too.

Her own daughter, Joylaea Blazevic, got home from school after the indoctrination and recounted what happened at school that day: “She's like: 'Mommy, they said that we're going to die in eight years.'” Even believers in the man-made global-warming hypothesis, including child psychologists, told media outlets reporting on the traumatic incident that it was “inappropriate.”

Among other things, the video featured Swedish girl Greta Thunberg scolding adults. The video included the now-infamous remarks: “People are suffering. People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you!” After that, a clock counting down 8 years was shown to the students, causing panic.

Ms. Blazevic vowed not to give up in this fight. “Again, my concern is for the 7- and 8-year-old children in this grade 2nd and 3rd class who may still believe that they're going to die,” the mother told The Newman Report in an email before the story became an international scandal following an article in Canada's National Post. “Also, the parents of these children need to be notified.”

School officials have issued contradictory responses to the scandal, ranging from denying and downplaying it, to apologizing and claiming it was for the children's own good. On several occasions, according to emails obtained by The Newman Report, administrators claimed that it was just one student who yelled about dying. School officials also later claimed that the student in question had a habit of shouting that.

But not according to Ms. Blazevik, who wondered which of the contradictory statements by school officials were lies. “It was most of the children in the class who exclaimed 'I don't wanna die' and not only one child,” she told The Newman Report. Indeed, the concerned mother spoke to a 7-year-old girl from her daughter's class in front of that girl's father, “and she said that she was happy that she's going to die soon because that meant that she didn't need to get married,” Blazevic recounted.

School officials also later claimed that students were “debriefed” and that the “nerves” of the children were “likely calmed” by re-assurances that they would not die from supposed man-made warming in 8 years. “My daughter is the best student in class, she attends school regularly and she is sure that the class was never corrected, not even on that day, during the presentation,” Blazevic said, expressing concerns that government-school employees were misleading parents and students.

School officials claimed the purpose of the propaganda video was actually to help the children to “resolve” the supposed problem of man-made climate doom. “Once again, we regret the impact the video and clock had on Joylea,” Prinipal Michael George told Blazevic in an e-mail obtained by FreedomProject Media. “Our intent is always to create critical thinkers & problem solvers with a perspective of contributing to the well-being of our global community.”

Meanwhile, in Germany, outraged citizens protested after the state-broadcaster showed video footage of young school children being taught to sing that their grandmothers are “pigs” for eating meat and driving gasoline-powered cars. “Every day my grandma fries herself a pork chop,” the seemingly happy children sing. “She does it because discount meat costs nearly nothing, my grandma is an old environmental pig!”

All over the United Nations COP25 “climate” summit in Madrid in December, meanwhile, brainwashed children ran around screaming about the alleged need to dismantle free markets, patriarchy, the economy, Western civilization, and more. They also demanded that the UN loot Western taxpayers, ban airplanes and “fossil fuels,” restrict meat consumption, and much more.

Leading scientists in Madrid, such as Princeton physicist and Trump advisor Dr. William Happer, warned that this was the behavior of a dangerous “cult.” “I hope sooner or later enough people recognize the phoniness of this bizarre environmental cult and bring it to an end,” said Happer, who added that the UN and governments were “wasting our time talking about a non-existent climate emergency.”

Clearly, though, the children are being prepared for something big. Former Vice President and discredited “climate” guru Al Gore, for instance, was quoted in the UN's propaganda book “Rescue Mission Planet Earth: A Children's Edition of Agenda 21” calling for a “worldwide monitoring system staffed by children … designed to rescue the global environment.” Read Full Article
